Opting out of Phorm April 17

I've followed Wikipedia's lead and written an email (based on the wikipedia one) to exclude nermal.org / nermal.net from Phorm's deep packet inspection technology:

Subject: Phorm opt out for nermal.org and nermal.net
To: website-exclusion@webwise.com

Hello,

I request that the following domains I control be excluded from scanning by
the Phorm / BT Webwise system, as I consider the scanning and profiling of
visitors behaviour whilst on my sites by a third party to be an infringement
on their privacy.

nermal.org
nermal.net

Regards,
Pete Prior

The EU has also launched an infringement proceeding against the UK for declaring the way Phorm operates to be legal.

New site look and updates March 12

Changed the very dark depressing look for something much more light and airy. I think it looks a lot better :)

I've also updated the CATaLOG project page with some more info and a screenshot of the first test application.

More changes on the way...

Welcome January 7

Welcome to the new, new nermal.org which will hopefully be updated a little more often.

I'll be documenting some projects I'm working on in my spare time as well hopefully starting to write a bit more. The most interesting project for the moment is likely to be the RFID Cat Tracker which I'm actively updating at the moment.
